Tours and Groups

Whether you're with a group or going solo, the MacKenzie Art Gallery offers tour options to accommodate everyone.

School Tours

MacKenzie School Tours are a great way to inspire a love of art in your classroom. A Gallery Facilitator will guide students through a tour of our exhibitions, followed by a hands-on studio activity. Students will learn to think critically, make creative connections and express themselves through art.

Group Tours

MacKenzie Group Tours are the perfect activity for your community group or team-building day. A Gallery Facilitator will lead your group through a private tour of our current exhibitions. You’ll also have the option to create a piece of art in our studio workshop (10 person minimum). Please book at least one week in advance. Payment is due upon booking.

Cost:

$45 for one hour tour, per 20 people

$60 for one hour tour with half hour studio workshop, per 20 people

Public Tours

Join us every Saturday at 2 pm for free interactive Public Tours of our featured exhibitions. Public tours are free and everyone’s welcome!

Self-Guided Experiences

• Pick up a guide and wander through the outdoor Sculpture Garden.
• Learn more about our exhibitions in the Bobbie Taylor Resource Area.
• Families can explore exhibition themes by creating a piece of exhibition-related art in the BMO Learning Centre.
• Borrow an iPad from the Gallery Shop or download the MacKenzie App to your iPhone or iPad for special features about our current exhibitions.
