Special Sunday - Diorama Workshop with Artist Sylvia Ziemann

2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Sylvia will lead visitors in a two-hour drop-in diorama-making workshop. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own shoe-box-sized (or smaller) boxes of any shape and to create miniature rooms or environments within them while investigating size, scale, proportion, and creative imagination. The story on this day will be Robert Munsch’s The Boy in the Drawer.

Sylvia Ziemann is a mixed media artist who works in painting, sculpture, video and installation. Currently her work on "Cocooning" in the form of miniature installation, feature small houses with video components. Born in Edmonton she earned a diploma in painting from The Alberta College of Art and Design (1983) and a BFA from The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (1986). Sylvia moved to Regina in 1999 and is one of the initiators of the Regina Artist Trading Card collective.
