Regina, Saskatchewan - Thursday, June 27, 2019: The MacKenzie Art Gallery (MAG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany Yang to the Director of Development position with the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Brittany has been at the Gallery since 2013, first in Corporate Relations and Sales, and more recently as the Development Associate.

"We are thrilled to be moving forward with Brittany in this position," says Anthony Kiendl, Executive Director and CEO of the MacKenzie Art Gallery. "Her work over the past five years has been instrumental to the Gallery's success, and her ambition and enthusiasm have aided in the strong sense of community we strive to foster at the MacKenzie, as members, volunteers, and citizens have all built strong relationships with her over the years. We are certain her vision for the growth of the MacKenzie will be an asset as we move forward on a variety of new initiatives over the next few years."

In her role as Development Associate, Yang created relationships with businesses, community leaders and visitors to the Gallery to promote the MacKenzie and developed new and innovative sponsorship and strategic planning initiatives, including her assistance with the creation of the MacKenzie's $25 million South Saskatchewan Community Foundation MacKenzie Endowment, the largest donation in the Gallery's history.

"I have been able to build a lot of great relationships and make meaningful improvements to the development department at the MacKenzie Art Gallery," says Brittany Yang, newly appointed Director of Development. "I am looking forward to continuing my work at the MacKenzie, as we work toward new initiatives, and introduce and build our new membership program."

The MacKenzie's new membership program, which began April 5, 2019, reduces the cost of a Core Membership from $50 to $30, with add-on levels that offer members various opportunities, including a discount in the Gallery Shop, access to the North American Reciprocal Museum program (which offers access to 750 museums and galleries across North America, including Saskatoon's Remai Modern) as well as a choice of exclusive packages with the MacKenzie, including dinner with Executive Director and CEO Anthony Kiendl, curated exhibition tours, and private vault tours. From now until June 30, new members to the MacKenzie will have their membership extended until August 31, 2020.
