School Tours
The MacKenzie’s education program is recognized across Canada as an innovative and creative experience for students. Each tour experience is curriculum based, which means that it is developed and implemented as an integral component of Saskatchewan Arts Education at pre-school, elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels. Each school tour includes a tour of the exhibition plus a studio activity, led by trained Gallery Facilitators. Our tours, workshops, art classes and practicums are greatly valued locally and are held up as a model nationally. The School Tour Program attracts over 10,000 students annually. We ask that teachers book self-guided tours so that we can ensure an enjoyable Gallery experience for all visitors. To book a self-guided school tour call 584-4292 or email mackenzie@uregina.ca . Please click here for guidelines for self-guided tours. To download the Teachers Resource Guide for Tactile Desires: The Work of Jack Sures, click HERE. The Teachers Resource Guide includes artist information, suggested classroom activites and website links. Reminder to Teachers: please bring one box to bring home the work your students create during their workshop.
