The MacKenzie Art Gallery and the MacKenzie Gallery Volunteers are pleased to present Art in Bloom on June 10th and 11th. Proudly sponsored by SaskTel, this bi-annual fundraiser supports the exhibitions and programs of the MacKenzie Art Gallery.
Art in Bloom Exhibition
May 15 - August 22, 2010
The Art in Bloom exhibition will be on view from May 15 – August 22 at the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Works of art from the MacKenzie’s permanent collection will inspire ten floral interpretations which will be on display during the Art in Bloom event on June 10th and 11th. This event is an exciting opportunity for visitors to engage with works of art in a unique way.
Art in Bloom Lunch and Fashion Show
June 10 & 11
On Thursday, June 10th and Friday, June 11th, the MacKenzie Gallery Volunteers will host the Art in Bloom Lunch and Fashion Show. The Lunch and Fashion show is a unique dining experience with “tablescapes” (table settings) created by individuals and businesses from the community. The Fashion Show will feature clothing and accessories by Linda’s of the Valley, Marbella, She and City View Optical.
Cash wine bar begins at 11 am, with the Art in Bloom Lunch and Fashion show starting at 12 pm. Please note that the floral arrangements will be on view prior to the event, free of charge, from June 10 to 12, 2010 during regular Gallery hours.
Tickets
Tickets will be on sale to the public as of April 30, 2010 at the Gallery Shop. Tickets to the Art in Bloom Lunch and Fashion Show are $50 each. All funds raised directly support the exhibitions and programs of the MacKenzie Art Gallery.
