POP: A Selection of Paintings and Prints of the 60s from the Permanent Collection

Art from the 60s recalls American icons Warhol, Lichtenstein, Wesselmann, Rosenquist and Oldenburg.

From soup cans to comic-strips, these images remain embedded within the consciousness of popular culture. Canadian artists in Montreal, Toronto, London and Vancouver also responded to mass media and commercialism. This exhibition surveys the MacKenzie Art Gallery permanent collection representative of the art created during the 1960s.
